students of all ages balanced, healthy and exciting singing. A voice teacher for over 15 years, Ms. Leffmann has continually
refined and advanced her teaching techniques as well as her own performance singing. Her approach to teaching voice
is an eclectic blend of what awards students with the most progress for their efforts.
All ages and levels of singers
are welcome - from children through adulthood, from singers struggling to sing on-pitch (usually a blend of poor technique,
nerves, and sloppy listening which is often easily correctable - VERY few people are actually tone deaf), to people who want
to recapture a joy of singing they have misplaced, to casual singers who want to sound better in their choirs, to pre-professional
soloists preparing for a performance career, to professional singers who are experiencing vocal difficulties.
Ms. Leffmann was a soloist jazz vocalist in clubs when she decided to explore classical singing (opera and art song) and
receive her Masters in Music Performance in voice. Ever restless to expand her vocal horizons, Merrill has continued
to study and perform many other genres and teaches her singing students the core of great singing that is the foundation of
every style.
SHOW PERFORMER
Ms. Leffmann performs cabaret and specialty shows
throughout the Phoenix valley. These performances are as elaborate or as simple as the event entertainment demands.
Shows might be a one and a half hour shows complete with costumes and choreography for corporate or other events, or two songs
to help an anniversary or wedding sparkle, or a mini-show with fun props at a party... the event determines the show.
One
specialty of Ms. Leffmann's is creating unique, and often funny characters in song. Her cabaret shows are spiced with songs
and arrangements that are heard nowhere else.
Ms. Leffmann also records her own songs as well as the
works of others, which can be arranged by her or recorded according to an existing arrangement.
